Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Suggest and implement changes that are required to improve standards within the branch
-Co-ordinate and monitor specific daily route management needs for local school board(s) as well as pre start-up route planning
-Promote the highest standard of quality service to employees through teaching, coaching, training, counseling and personal example
-Assist in counseling branch employees in performance and disciplinary matters.  Provide recommendations for improvement and follow-up on targets set
-Communicate with employees concerning branch and company goals, objectives and policies
-Maintain frequent communication with the Location Manager to ensure continuity in policies and procedures
-Supervise vehicle assignment in accordance with branch practices and/or collective agreements.  Liaise with Shop Manager to ensure vehicle maintenance programs are completed in a cost efficient, timely manner
-Assist the Location Manager in implementing new company programs or policies, with the aim of ensuring buy-in and an effective change process for employees
-Oversee compliance with branch practices and/or collective agreements and work towards the resolution of labour/employee grievances.  
-Provide input to the Location Manager on staffing, developmental and training issues
-Responsible for overseeing the Location Safety Department, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with Company safety goals
-Assist Safety with accident and WCB investigations and complete all related reports
-Ensure compliance with the companys return to work program and provide recommendations that would better meet the needs of both the company and the employee
-May assist the Location Manager with annual budget process, quotations and or bids.
