Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Mechanical Technician (Trailers) based in Saskatchewan.

Our client is a Canadian owned Company that is growing in Saskatchewan. They lease or rent large trailers to industry for hauling merchandise throughout Canada and the United States.

The Role:

We require mechanically trained trailer technicians who are excellent at figuring out mechanical problems.
The ability to troubleshoot and repair our trailers mechanical equipment.
You have skills at preventative and scheduled maintenance.
Use to work orders, parts requisitioning and written explanations of required repairs.

The Ideal Candidate:

Preferably, we would like to have a Journeyman Mechanic who has 2 - 10 years of hands on learning in the trucking industry.
The ability to perform Commercial Vehicle Inspection Process (CVIP) inspections would be an asset.
Some experience in fabrication and welding would be beneficial.
Basic knowledge of ABS diagnostic software.
Good communications skills, be a collaborative team player and have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
