Description

Position Summary:
The manager has direct supervision of Paw Print Inn animal care staff and facility management. The position is responsible for overseeing data base entry of all incoming and outgoing guests and maintenance of a file system as well as the coordination of all repairs and maintenance to building and grounds, and vehicles. Oversee activities such as: booking in animals, feeding and cleaning of animals, giving medications, and other animal care related duties. Bookkeeping as well as computer input and reports using the Shelter Buddy program are required. The hours are Monday to Friday  8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The manager will work closely with Executive Director, and other members of SPCA management team to promote the values of the SPCA and provide top quality animal care in an environment of compassion and customer service.  

Qualifications and Skills:
    Responsible individual, committed to the mission of the Prince Albert SPCA.
    Basic knowledge of  accounting and bookkeeping practices
    Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills
    Combination of experience or training in human resource management and previous supervisory experience.
    Education and/or experience in animal care and handling a definite asset
    Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively
    Must be physically capable and able to carry out job duties in an efficient and thorough manner
    Good observation and reporting skills
    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    Previous business management and customer service training
    Must have valid drivers license and transportation
    Must be bondable
