Adecco is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our clients fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing company. Located 30 minutes from Saskatoon, our client has been in business in Saskatchewan since the 1960s selling their products worldwide. They are an industry leader in the development and manufacturing of agriculture equipment. Starting from local farming roots, our client puts quality, customers and employees first in all aspects of their business.
Reporting to the General Manager and CFO, the Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting processes as well as providing leadership and support to the accounting staff. This role requires candidates to show integrity while being performance driven. Our client believes that that developing their employees is the most important piece to good business and the incumbent must share this view.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Oversee all accounting operations; including control systems, transaction-processing operations as well as policies and procedures.
- Production of Financial Reports.
- Maintain accounting records, controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
- Financial forecasting and analysis to support operational decisions.
- Enhance accuracy of financial results ensuring results comply with accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Responsible for cash and risk management
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Preference given to those with CPA or CMA designation
- Three or more years of experience with a major company or division of a corporation
- Experience using ERP software
- Background in manufacturing and a mechanical aptitude are preferred
