David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a large local public accounting firm. We are looking for a designated accountant who is entrepreneurial, wants to build a network of professional clientele and takes pride in delivering great client service, while helping clients manage risk and be more efficient.

The Role:

With an internal audit and risk management background, this role plays a leadership role in the organization, in the community and with external clients.

Manage and deliver enterprise risk management and governance work, performance assurance
Provide internal audit advise for clients, while developing strategies, processes and control frameworks
Identify key risks and provide solutions to mitigate risk in areas of business strategy, information systems and controls

The Ideal Candidate:

Undergraduate degree
Canadian CA, CMA or CGA designation is required
Excellent Project Management Skills
Experience in an internal audit role, and preference will be given to CIA's
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Proven leadership, organizational, facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to work on multiple engagements at the same time
5 or more years related risk and compliance experience
Some travel required
Preference will be given to those who understand different businesses and industries

Compensation:

Salary range commensurate with experience
