We are looking for a highly motivated individual, able to work under pressure, and have a desire to serve our community in a meaningful way.
This is a term position until March 31, 2016 with the potential to be extended.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to look at the big picture down to the smallest details. To administratively plan and organize community programs and events.
- Proposal Writing is a key area of responsibility that takes place year round and creates new and exciting opportunities for the community.
- Administratively support the Executive Director
- Administratively Support the Financial Comptroller as needed
- Support internal and external communications
- To construct and maintain a needs assessment process to determine the need and evolution of activities, events and programs on a regular basis.
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships, partnerships and collaboration with organizations and agencies in serving Saskatoon's Aboriginal Community.
- To contribute to the development of new ideas, work procedures and methods to promote Elder, youth, children and family participation at the Centre.
- Performs work in accordance with policies and procedures of the organization, as well as other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
- Will work regular business hours,with occasional evenings and weekends.
Skills and Requirements:
- Must have minimum of a post secondary diploma/Certificate with preference to post-secondary education related to the duties (i.e., Recreation Technology, Business Administration) or minimum of four years experience in a related field.
- Proposal writing experience is an asset
- Supervisory / Management experience is an asset
- Aboriginal candidates preferred (First Nations, Metis Inuit), please self-identify in your application cover letter.
- Hold a valid driver's license and a vehicle;
- Knowledge of the Aboriginal community and services.
