Description

The Organization:
Canadian Paraplegic Association (Sask.) Inc. assists persons with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence, self-reliance and full community participation.

The position:
-This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will work collaboratively with other CPA staff
-Perform all areas of book keeping duties in QuickBooks software
-Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
-Provide relevant reports and assist in the preparation of the budget
-Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Funders
-Provide administration support to ensure a high quality of administrative services
-Perform reception duties as needed
-Remain continuously informed of current and future agency plans
-Interact effectively with people of all cultures, socio-economic backgrounds and abilities
Requirements:
-Experience performing bookkeeping and budgeting for program grants and multiple funding contracts in a community based organization
-Demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative team environment utilizing well developed organization and time management skills
-Knowledge if spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities is an asset
-Understanding of and respect for confidentiality
-Excellent oral and written/report writing communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
-Computer literacy in a windows environment and familiarity with Microsoft Office Software and QuickBooks 2012
-Ability to travel and to work some evenings and weekends
-Valid drivers license and access to reliable vehicle

Education: An undergraduate degree/certificate in a related field or discipline or a combination of education and experience.
