Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Canada, Ltd. (MHPSC) is a major supplier of custom welding, machining, assembly, and field services to the energy industry in Canada and around the world.
Responsibilities:
Promote a safe working environment
Responsible for executing Manufacturing Engineering projects per contract requirements including scope, quality, schedule and cost
Responsible to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for project execution for safety, quality and cost reduction
Work with support groups including shop floor leaders, QA, scheduling and purchasing for improvement opportunities
Ensure projects are effectively planned for efficient execution on the shop floor through process and space plans and process control including development of project subvend services
Provide manufacturing engineering to facility support groups such as Maintenance, QA, Shipping / Receiving, etc.
Responsible for capital expenditure assessments and factory expense controls as a means to provide increased overall value
Provide regular project progress reporting to company and customer
Support customer contact for technical matters throughout the duration of the project
Requirements:
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Engineering degree
5-10 years of related experience
Proven ability to plan, monitor and improve manufacturing processes and controls
Experience implementing Continuous Improvement and effective Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, manage projects work effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to excel in a team environment
Problem solving skills
