Location: Nipawin
The Incumbent in this position will assist with 1) the design, implementation, coordination and facilitation of social skills programming for
preschoolers and school age children with known or suspected autism spectrum disorders; 2) the development and implementation of summer
programming for the Kelsey Trail Health Region Autism Program; 3) coordination of respite and mentor services offered through this program; and 4) providing individualized services to support family and client well-being.
Required Qualifications:
One of the following:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Work
- Degree in Sociology
- Degree in Psychology
- Other Bachelor Degree that would meet the criteria
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
- Ability to effectively counsel and work with individuals, families, and groups
Additional Information:
The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Family Support Consultant is located in Nipawin. The incumbent in this position reports to the Director of Therapies and through delegation to the ASD Consultant.
