Description

Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities
Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload cargo
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
Maintain personal and group safety at all times
Be a positive team member through open communication
Provide good public relations with persons inside and outside the company

Experience and Education
High School Diploma
Completion of relevant trade certification
Minimum two (2) years experience operating heavy equipment
Experience operating equipment in tight and restrictive areas an asset
Experience operating equipment in the high voltage environment and alongside high voltage crews will be given preference

Skills
Mechanically inclined and safety focused
Strong communication, leadership, team work and customer service skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Valid Class 1A Saskatchewan Drivers Licence

 - Complete onboard and other logs
 - Calculate weight, distance, volume and length measurements

 - Operate heavy equipment
 - Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
 - Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
