The Regina Sexual Assault Centre is a feminist, non-profit organization providing counselling and advocacy services to individuals whose lives have been impacted by sexual or intimate partner violence.
The RSAC is seeking an experienced counsellor with knowledge in the areas of Sexual Assault, Childhood Sexual Abuse, and Intimate Partner Violence.
Job Details: Full-time (30 Hours/week)
Hours: 9-4:30 Tuesday-Friday
This job requires additional evening and weekend commitments.
Educational Requirements: University Degree in a counselling related discipline and current registration in good standing with a recognized professional college or association.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
-excellent communication (oral and written) skills
-ability to perform case management including timely completion of case notes and statistics
-experience using evidence based interventions and counselling methods
-feel comfortable speaking to the public and media.
-have experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence.
-have demonstrated experience working with children and youth.
-have a commitment to continuing education and professional development.
-a current criminal records check including a vulnerable sectors search
Preference will be given to equity-qualified individuals.
