Description

Our team of 900-plus employees manufactures and supplies high quality petroleum products to our 235 member-owned retail co-operatives and their 1.5 million individual members and other customers from Vancouver Island to northwestern Ontario.

The Co-op Refinery Complex located in Regina, Saskatchewan, is currently recruiting for a Senior Equipment Inspector. As part of the Equipment Integrity and Engineering Department, you will ensure the mechanical integrity of equipment within the complex. The duties of this position may include, but are not limited to, monitoring safety performance of workers within areas of responsibility, mentoring Junior Equipment Integrity Section Staff and assessing inspection information and recommending repairs, replacements and further inspections to ensure reliability of pressure equipment and compiling information for submittal to TSASK. Responsible for coordinating the inspection activities during the scheduled turnaround, supporting daily inspection planning and creation of procedures, identifying work scope for annual corrosion monitoring program requirements and making adjustments to the corrosion monitoring point coverage. Duties also include, performing field level inspections on fixed equipment including, piping, heaters, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and storage tanks.

The minimum qualifications are an Engineering Technology Diploma in Mechanical, Materials, or Welding, coupled with 15 years experience, preferably in the petrochemical industry. Other qualifications include National Board (Sask PEI Level I), plus two additional API certifications and Membership in the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologist and Technicians as an applied Science Technologist. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
