Career & Professional Development (CPD) is responsible to coordinate and deliver CCEs credit certificate programs and the High School Accelerated Program in partnership with the Faculties. CPD is also responsible for the implementation of the General Studies and Casual Studies Admissions programs, and our work as the Recognition of Prior Learning Centre for the University. Additionally the CPD Division Head is responsible for the oversight of the development, marketing, administration and operations of the non-credit programming, including open enrollment and customized training.
The successful candidate will: assess the relevancy and currency of on-going certificate programs and seek opportunities for new programs; design, implement and administer programs in cooperation with faculties and departments, advisory committees, instructors, professional associations and the public and private sector; conduct surveys; and develop effective marketing strategies. In addition, the successful candidate will recruit, select and supervise staff and instructors, and prepare and manage divisional cost-recovery budgets and plans. The Division Head will be Continuing Education's primary contact on a variety of committees involving government, industry, and community organizations and will be well informed about best practice developments in the fields of continuing education and training. As a member of the Centre's Management Team, this individual will participate in and support strategic initiatives to advance the overall service experience and environment of our students and instructors.
