Description

Milligan Biofuels Inc. is a privately held company with its operations in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan.  
Milligan Biofuels Inc. is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant.  The Accounting Assistant  will be required to work with the Controller & Senior Manager of Finance and be responsible for analysis and production of financial reports to support management, operations and reporting compliance with federal, provincial and US agencies.  The successful candidate will be responsible to quickly gain an understanding of the business and issues related to Milligan Biofuels financial operations and become effective in his/her role.  Duties of the position include:
    Analysis, working papers and journal entries leading up to and including preparing monthly financial statements and yearend audit. Statutory reporting and remittances.Preparation of weekly cash flow projections, prepare disbursements. All compliance and financial reporting required under various provincial and federal contribution funding agreements.Provide backup support to receivables and payables functions.Daily bank reconciliation. Other responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to payroll, analyzing production data etc.
Qualifications:
    Minimum 3 years full accounting, financial statement, and working paper analysis experience, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
    Strong analytical, reconciliation and spreadsheet skills.
    Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook.
    Strong proficiency with accounting software, export and analyze data.
    A self starter, goal oriented and be productive without supervision.
    Must possess both outstanding written and oral communication skills.
    Act with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical, character at all times.
    Post secondary education in accounting and business administration.
