Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment (GDI T&E) is currently looking to fill an Apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment Technician position which has been made available with one of our employer partners. GDI T&E partners with employers across Saskatchewan willing to hire and train Aboriginal apprentices (Metis, First Nations, Non-Status Inuit) through our Aboriginal Apprenticeship Project.

Job Duties:

Maintain, repair, and rebuild heavy equipment at the shop in a safe, efficient, and capable manner.


Requirements:

Must be willing to work towards becoming indentured as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, if not already indentured

Strong work ethic necessary

Looking for a reliable employee

Must be Aboriginal to qualify (Metis, First Nations, Non-Status, Inuit)

Must reside in Saskatchewan
