Description

Monitor scope, including description of work activities required, construction strategies/options, necessary high level drawings and equipment/design specification requirements.
Monitor schedule, including critical path development, long lead time items and time saving options.
Work together with Operations staff to determine execution strategies and field requirements.
Manage engineering consultants to ensure designs are consistent with Enbridge standards.
Work together with Enbridge project engineers on an as needed basis to provide design standard review support and technical assistance with ongoing projects.
Prepares reports on matters related to project development and project engineering.
Performs other related duties in support of project development, engineering design and construction.
Practice sound project management in accordance with company expectations.
Responsible for ensuring that effective and pro-active communication is maintained with all internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications  
Demonstrated technical competence in at least one of the engineering disciplines.
2 years minimum of progressively complex detailed design and/or project execution experience.
Experience in a field Operations role within a related oil and gas company.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Well-developed problem solving, decision-making, organization and planning and skills.
Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment, while providing service to clients.
Committed to continuous technical learning and personal development.
Strong time management skills and ability meet deadlines.
A self starter with the ability to work independently.
Ability to travel within Canada and United States.
Registered as an Engineering in Training with APEGS.
Engineering technologists with a diploma from a recognized technical institution and appropriate experience will also be considered.
