Description

We are currently looking for a Yard Supervisor in our Regina plant.

The yard supervisor will be a dynamic, hardworking , self-directed individual that enjoys leading a large, diverse union team in multiple, varied daily activities to reach established goals in safety, quality and quantity.

Core Responsibilities:

    The yard supervisor oversees, monitors, and coordinates yard team activities and the overall yard team's achievement of established goals;
    Supervises the activities of yard personnel for safe and efficient operations, in all facets of pipe handling;
    Promotes, maintains and enforces safe and healthy working conditions for all employees while assuring a high standard of quality and quantity of tasks are achieved;
    Maintain accurate records of all pipe activity.

Education and Experience:

    Grade 12 education and preference would be given to individuals with a technical diploma;
    3 - 5 years supervisory experience is a must, preferably in a unionized manufacturing, industrial, or pipe environment;
    Must be mechanically inclined and have knowledge of heavy mobile equipment;
    Good verbal communication skills;
    Knowledge in pipe handling and pipe coating processes, will be given preference;
    Computer literate;
    Having an understanding of equipment maintenance requirements, production issues and HSE management system preferred;
    Good planning, organization skills, and problem solving skills required;
    Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with lean manufacturing practices.
