Primary Duties
- Assist in development and implementation of SWF communications strategies and programs
- Production of internal communications including Outdoor Canada West magazine insert(bi-monthly), monthly newsletter, and other communications as required
- Update and maintain SWF Website
- Update and maintain social media platforms
- Prepare promotional materials for events
- Work with staff on program publicity and promotion
- Engage corporate sponsors and partners as necessary
- Assist with general office duties such as data entry, interacting with customers and members, and other duties as deemed necessary
Competencies Required
- Must have completed some post-secondary education
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English
- Must possess a demonstrated ability to create written, verbal, and visual communication materials
- Must be proficient in computer software applications and tools used for publishing (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Suite)
- Must have a working knowledge of web management and social media (WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
- Should be highly motivated individual that is able to work as part of a team and work cooperatively with other organizations
- Must possess and maintain a Class 5 driver's licence (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of conservation, wildlife, and fisheries is an asset
- Must be bondable
