PLAYGROUND SUPERVISOR I & II

Applications are invited for a number of summer positions of Playground Supervisors I & II in the Community Services Department.

Assigned to a specific neighbourhood play area of the city, playground supervisor will:
-Work in cooperation with another playground supervisor in coordinating and implementing daily programs of games, special events, arts and crafts, stories, singing for children in the 5 to 12 age group;
-Ensure safety standards are maintained;
-Maintain accurate records and attend weekly staff meetings; and
-Other duties as per job description.

Desired Qualifications
-Grade 12 (Candidates who have completed Grade 11 may be considered)
- Valid Driver's license
-Possess a mature attitude and a good sense of responsibility
-First Aid and CPR "C"
-Good organizational skills and good public relations skills
-Must attend and complete an SPRA Play Leadership Workshop or have current "Play Leader" or "Play Mentor" certification through SPRA

CLASSIFICATION:          
$13.57 - $14.28 per hour -Playground Supervisor I (2013 rates)
$14.30 - $15.07 per hour -Playground Supervisor II (2013 rates)

All successful applicants will require a recent criminal record check prior to commencing employment with the City of Prince Albert.
