Do you enjoy working creatively with kids? The Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum is seeking to hire four energetic and enthusiastic summer students! Your primary responsibilities will be to research, develop, and deliver Summer Day Camps for children ages 5-12. Our camps are both educational and recreational, and focus strongly on history, culture, science, and nature. As part of the programming team, you will also be responsible for developing and assisting with special summer events including Dinomania & Megamunchs Birthday Celebration. This position is mainly Monday-Friday with occasional weekend/evening duties.
The ideal candidate(s) will possess:
experience working with young children
lesson and/or program planning experience
excellent communication & organizational skills
ability to work in a team environment
creativity and enthusiasm
To be eligible for this position, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age, legally entitled to work in Canada, be enrolled at the time of employment in a secondary or post-secondary school or institution, and returning to full-time studies in September 2015.
