Job Description:
The outside Parts Salesperson is in charge of providing the parts needs of wholesale and fleet customers. The Outside salespersons responsibility is to represent the Parts Department in the customer's place of business to address their parts needs, responding to information inquiries , process parts orders, identify sales opportunities and sell additional parts and accessories. The Outside Salesperson position is a vital member of the Parts Department Team, one who has a major impact on parts sales and customer service.
The salespersons primary duties and responsibilities represent the Parts Department, Identify additional sales opportunities and make additional sales by:
- Becoming a welcomed visitor to the customer's place of business by providing value added experience with regular customer visits.
- Getting to know the customer, and the customers business needs.
- Responding to customer parts or information requests quickly.
- Identifying customer needs and opportunities that will produce additional sales.
- The preparation for and presentation of sales proposals.
- The presentation of new items or services during each visit.
- Courteous customer service including problem identification and concern resolution.
Qualifications that are wanted in a candidate:
- Previous sales experience in aftermarket environment,
- An ability to recognize opportunities for the process and operation improvement.
- High degree of product and technical knowledge.
- Ability to use Microsoft programs and applications.
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to communicate and work with suppliers.
- Strive for respect and teamwork within all departments.
