Description

On behalf of our valued client, the Regional Business Accelerator, we are seeking a very unique individual to fill the role of their Executive Director.  This organization has a great Board of Directors and they have implemented and completed many projects and training workshops since its inception in 2012.  Due to an upcoming relocation of their current director, this role will become vacant in the very near future.   The successful individual will need to be:
-Seen as a community leader and work in a very strategic and visionary capacity to continue to grow and mentor the mission, goals and objectives of this organization.
-A detailed and self-motivated individual driven by creating and mentoring the entrepreneurial spirit within the area.
-Previous entrepreneurial experience would be ideal but not essential.  Candidates that have run their own businesses will be of great interest.  
-Knowledgeable on intellectual property, prototype development and business plan documentation would be ideal.  
-Understanding and compassionate but have the ability to have those difficult conversations that come with the reality of business ownership and management.  
-Have the experience of managing multiple projects and activities in a very effective manner. Your time management skills are very important.
-Confidential and have a reputation as a trusted advisor.  
-Educated and experienced in the financial aspects of running a business/organization and able to ensure that all aspects of the organization are following sound accounting practices.  Have the ability to prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors.  The successful candidate will need to be bondable.
-A doer - this is not a role for individuals looking to delegate and supervise.  You will need to be a working manager and get your hands in every aspect of the organization.
