Description

Reporting to the Store Brands Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

1. Responsible for Store Brands category review process, including data analysis, product testing, competitors store visits, product mix sales, cost, pricing, marketing, and determination of supplier.
2. Negotiate cost decreases and manage price increases by assessing pricing on the comparative products and applying the pricing processes to keep our cost variances profitable for the Store Brand Items. Issue and manage a tender process as required.
3. Contribute to optimal success of Store Brands products by utilizing all available marketing materials.
4. Act as liaison between third-party artwork vendors, suppliers, and FCL Marketing Department.
5. Manage artwork development by working closely with Marketing and our suppliers and ensure successful execution of Store Brands products packaging and marketing efforts by establishing and maintaining project timelines and flow of marketing materials. Make recommendations on final artwork for Store Brands products.
6. Respond to any questions or issues associated with Vendors, Retails, Consumers, United Grocers Inc. (UGI), Coop Atlantic, and colleagues.
7. Organize and scrutinize tenders to ensure accuracy, product quality, and suitability of products for brand fit.
8. Ensure that departments within FCL and the Coop Atlantic are informed of any changes that affect their areas.

The successful candidate will have a Business Diploma in Marketing, a Business Degree in Marketing is preferred and 3 to 5 years retail or wholesale food experience; in-store brand experience is preferred. Nutritional and packaging design background is an asset.
