Permanent position available on 10,000 acres, 1000 head Cattle Ranch/Beef Cow Calf Operation
Job Description / Experience Required:
- Working with modern farm equipment such as tractors, skid steers, bale processors, haying equipment; augers, trucks, trailers.
- Livestock processing equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude/ability is preferred.
- Working with cow herd, bull herd, calf crop including vaccinations, brandings, preg checking, etc.
- Moving cattle; sorting cattle, checking herd health, etc.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate with co-workers and employer; and work unsupervised at certain times.
- Moderate to full experience required in above mentioned tasks is essential.
Hours of work are seasonal. More than 8 hours per day when required; less when not required. Days off in peak periods 1 or less per week. Days off in non-peak periods 2 or more per week; if employee wishes.
Ranch is rurally located near Spy Hill, SK. Affordable on-site modern housing is available.
Pay scale according to experience starting $12.50 to $22.00 per hour.
Health and dental benefits available after 3 months.
Bonuses paid to long term employees on annual basis as per their performance evaluations.
