David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

We have an excellent role for a QA Manager with strong manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of development, building and implementing quality management systems.  

The Role:

The successful candidate will lead all quality assurance activities for the tubular products group, provides guidance, coaching and mentorship, and sets high expectations for the Quality Assurance/Control team supporting the operations in all aspects, in order to consistently manufacture the highest quality products

The Ideal Candidate:

-B.Sc. Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
-Minimum of 5 - 10 years of progressive experience managing quality control teams in an industrial
environment.
-Proven track record for building or improving a robust quality management systems with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
-Understanding of ISO quality standards and quality management systems
-Experience giving presentations to management regarding project results
-Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Knowledge of pipe and/or steel mill processes and operations
-Comprehensive knowledge of tubular industry standards including: American Petroleum Institute (API), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), ASME or API welding as well as mechanical and NDE testing
Six Sigma green or black belt will be an asset.
-Trained and certified in quality auditing
-A proven track record of leading / driving significant measurable performance improvements through KPI development and enhancing operations / business understanding.
-Solid communications skills & experience - verbal, written & presentation.
