Amec Foster Wheelers Mining business is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in our Saskatoon office. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Finance & Administration. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast paced environment, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Tracking and reviewing monthly financial results, analyzing variances, and generating reports for senior management;
Support project and senior management through the delivery of timely, relevant and accurate financial information;
Coordinating and preparing financial budgets and forecasts;
Monitoring and forecasting cash flow;
Reviewing inter-company billings and accounts;
Leading or assisting in special projects and ongoing system improvements;
Preparing schedules and analysis for internal and external audits within associated deadlines.
Role Requirements
A university graduate with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CMA, CGA or equivalent) is preferred;
Five to ten years accounting related experience preferably in a project based environment;
Sound knowledge of computer applications with proficiency in Excel, familiarity with project based computer systems is an asset;
Self-starter with strong attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities;
Team-oriented and a creative thinker; and
Demonstrates cooperation and decision-making abilities.
