Description

Duties and Responsibilities

    Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, oversee the planning, design, scheduling, development and execution of all Hillberg & Berk stores and kiosks.
    Establish strategy, priorities and allocate resources properly to support the growth of Hillberg & Berk retail operations both within Canada and internationally.
    Lead, manage and develop the store planning and construction team across their diverse skill sets and responsibilities.
    Under the supervision of the Vice President of Sales and Brand Excellence, identify and maintain the standards for which all Hillberg & Berk stores should follow and maintain.
    Streamline the process for opening new locations.
    Build the timing, standards and scheduling for remodeling of existing Hillberg & Berk stores and kiosks. Manage the roll out and execution of this plan.
    Work with the Executive Management Team to identify a plan, schedule, and execution of retail locations across Canada and international locations.
    Manage, set and adhere to budget targets for individual store and kiosk builds and for the overall department.
    Oversee the project management of all store and kiosk builds.
    Manages the maintenance of buildings and grounds for all retail locations.

Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management or equivalent field of study required
    Minimum 10 years experience
    Retail experience preferred: small or large box construction
    Ability to work within stringent timeframes
    Knowledge of Provincial, Federal and Municipal building codes
    Displays strong written and oral communication skills
    Computer efficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
    Minimum education: University degree preferred or equivalent work experience
