Job brief
We are looking for a passionate Account Manager who will partner with and ensure the long-term success of our customers. The ideal candidate will spend 60% of their time in the field cold calling, meeting and following up with customers within their territory. The balance of their time will be spent in the shop planning sales calls, assisting with the storefront and light warehouse work.
You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your assigned customers and connecting with decision makers to grow Prairie Battery's customer list.
Responsibilities
Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key decision makers.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our batteries and accessories according to customer needs and objectives
Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate directly to the branch manager and general manager to ensure growth is achieved.
Must be willing to overnight and work overtime as required.
Some route work may be required as needed.
Requirements
Proven account management or business to business (outside) sales is required.
Must be clean cut and professional in appearance.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of our target customers, from small garages to city tenders to school boards.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Vehicles are provided by Prairie Battery as well as fuel, and travel allowances for meals and accommodations.
A base salary plus an uncapped commission structure and monthly bonuses can make this a very rewarding opportunity for the right person.
