Summer Visitor Services Summer Student
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Summer Visitor Services is responsible for assisting Visitor Services in the operation of the Gift Shop and visitor services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and direct Museum guests
Process admissions and Gift Shop sales
Opening/Closing duties
Light cleaning in the Gift Shop and Visitor Services area
Answer telephone and respond to customer inquires in a courteous and professional manner
Assist with Programming when needed
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous retail and cashier experience an asset but not necessary.
Be self-motivated and able to work independently; willing to work weekends; have superb organizational skills; and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the Western Development Museum Moose Jaw would be an asset.

CONDITIONS:
Salary: $12.50 per hour/40 hours per week.
This position is for 16 weeks from May 3 - Aug 22, 2015 (Negotiable). Shifts involve weekend work.
* As per the requirements of the Canada Summer Job's grant all applicants must have been registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and must intend to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.
* Position dependent on Canada Summer Job grants approval.
