Central Urban Metis Federation Inc. is looking Full time and Part time program staff for the Childrens Receiving Home to open April 15, 2015. We are interested in energetic fun loving individuals who can provide one on one supports to children ages 0 to 12 years of age. The Childrens Receiving Home is dedicated to improving the lives of the children we serve.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Experience working with children and youth, affected by abuse, neglect, and behavioural or health issues and trauma  
- Prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals
- Assistance with personal care and routines
- Will organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling
- Provide constant supervision
- Follow positive behaviour management protocols
- Encourage bed time routines and potty train
- Administer medications
- Light House cleaning duties
- Adhere to the Childrens Receiving Home policies and procedures
- Willing to train
- References will be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social work preferred or Early Childhood Development Diploma  
- 2 years of experience working with children with behavioral or health issues
- Must be able to support children in a positive manner
- Non-violent crisis intervention training
- Criminal record Check
- Child Abuse Record check
- Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED
- Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Able to work well with other members of staff team
