Job Summary:

The Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (EMT-A) is responsible to respond to the emergent and non-emergent calls for service and for providing Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Emergency Health Services Basic and Advance Life Support Protocols, and Keewatin Yatthe Health Region EMS Policies.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
- CMA accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Intermediate Care Paramedic (ICP/EMT-A) level
- CPR Level C certificate
- International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Advanced
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the ICP/EMT-A level
- Valid Class 4 drivers license
