Description

Our client, an established and respected provider of PC and network support, has a great opportunity for a qualified SENIOR NETWORK TECHNICIAN in their Regina office.

As a key member of the technical team, you will:
  
- Respond to client requests and provide onsite or remote desktop, server and network troubleshooting support in a timely, accurate manner.  A large part of your role will be working with customers to assist with issues such as networks, smart phones (hooking to email system/syncing), laptops and PCs, file servers, network printers, setting up computers at schools, and ensuring file backups are working.    

- Work in co-operation with the technical team in balancing customer priorities and requests received.  Monitor systems and provide routine maintenance checks.

- The positions regular work week is Monday to Friday, 8-5:00, however 2 to 4 hours per week may be required outside of regular working hours, working remotely from home.   Time off in lieu is provided to maintain a 40-hour work week schedule.  

Education:
- Computer/IT Diploma (2 year) or related training.
- CCNA and other certification is an asset.

Experience
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Windows desktop and server support.

Computer
- PC Hardware remove/replace hard drives, memory, power supplies.    Thorough knowledge of Windows desktop and server OSs, networking hardware (firewalls, routers, NAS, switches, Wi-Fi A/P) and PDA (Blackberry, Android, iOS).


Personality/Desired attributes:
- Excellent communications, telephone and customer service skills are essential.  
- Detailed and team oriented, with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
