The City of Humboldt's Community and Leisure Services Department operates a year around Aquatic Center at the Humboldt Uniplex. At this time the Aquatic Center is requesting applications for a Permanent Part Time and Casual Lifeguard Instructors. These positions are unionized and within the CUPE Union Agreement. These positions are under the direction and responsibility of the Aquatic Manager. These positions will be day, evening and week-end as to cover the operations of the Aquatic Center.
General Duties:
- Lifeguard duties
- Instruct Swimming Lessons
- Customer Service.
- Aquatic Center Maintenance duties
- Keep public relations with patrons and user groups.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow staff members.
Reporting Relationships: Lifeguard Instructor report to the Aquatic Manager in the City of Humboldt Community and Leisure Services Department
Qualifications:
- Lifeguard Certificate (NLS or Red Cross)
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
- Minimum 16yrs of age.
- Standard First Aid & CPR 'C'/AED
Preference: Pool Operators Certificate & Aquatic Fit Instructor Certificate
Hours of Work: Permanent Part Time & Casual Positions
Rotating Work Schedule to cover days, evenings and weekends to accommodate operations.
