What will you be working on?
* Ensure employee safety through compliance with all safety and mine regulations, company policy and regulations.
* Ensure that daily, short term and long term mine plans are prepared consistent with established practices.
* Provide engineering assistance and technical guidance to management, supervisors, crews and contractors.
* Provide leadership by participating in continuous improvement programs, the development of standards and procedures and thru time spent in the field.
* Understand, promote and operate by overall company vision and values, goals, objectives and strategies.

What is required for this role?
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Major in Mine, Mech, Ind, Geo
* P. Eng
* 1-2 years experience in an underground mine environment.
* Experience supervising an underground crew.
* AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, Surfer, Xpac, Ventsim
* Must be able to communicate and work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
* Must be able to work co-operatively in relationships bridging various levels of authority.
* Accountable for timely completion of assigned engineering projects and technical input within the operations group.
* Technical tasks completed are subject, wholly or in part, to practices and procedures covered by precedent, well defined policy and supervisory review.
* Must have management skills necessary to complete projects within timelines established.
* Must be able to promote the companies best interests when dealing with government agencies, contractors, consultants, technical and supplier representatives.
