We are looking for an ambitious person who has a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work and assigned area. This pride will drive you to be efficient and pay attention to detail.
We want someone with excellent customer service skills, that will work hard to impress our customers everyday.
The ability to the think critically, and perform basic mathematical calculations is essential.
Position would require applicant to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays per month.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Look after assigned section of the store by
placing orders, merchandising, cleaning,
and generally developing sales and increasing
profitability
- Tinting paint
- Perform cashier functions
- Answering phones and answering customer
questions
- Develop a keen knowledge of products and
services
- Performing estimates for materials needed for smaller projects
EXPERIENCE
- Sales person
- Experience in the lumber, hardware and building material industry is a definite asset,
but we're willing to train the right applicant
SKILLS
- Good Mathematical skills
- The ability to thrive under pressure and a
strong attention to detail
- Assisting and working with other store staff in order to complete tasks
- Excellent communication
- Computer skills
- Product knowledge of building materials
- Have excellent decision making and problem
solving skills
- Fast learner and understand oral and written
instructions
