The Town of Milestone is accepting applications for the position of Public Works Foreman
The successful applicant will provide supervision and work assignments to the public works staff and will report directly to the Director of public works, town administration and council.
Applicants having knowledge in the following areas would be an asset:
- Maintenance and operation of backhoe, tractor, mower, and street sweeper, and all other equipment as required;
- Road repair and maintenance;
-Water and sewer line construction and maintenance;
- Water treatment and distribution;
-Wastewater collection and treatment;
-Maintenance of recreational parks and town cemetery;
- Monitoring expenditures of time, money and resources;
-Other duties as assigned by council and administration.
  -Have strong human resource management skills;
The successful applicant must be prepared to take all necessary and on-going courses required for the day-to-day operations of the Town. Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following certifications:
Class 1 Water Treatment
Class 1 Water Distribution
Class 1 Wastewater Collection and Treatment
Certification in Wastewater Collection and Treatment and Water Distribution & Treatment would be considered an asset however the successful candidate must be willing to take training in this area.
