Description

Duties and responsibilities:

The Research Assistant is responsible for assisting the associates in the development of business development products and in the conduction of applied research related to specific economic and business development projects. As an integral part of our work team, the research associate will:

-Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, business plans, marketing plans, and strategic planning reports.

-Engage in applied research and communicate those findings to associates.

-Organize data and conduct some data analysis.

-Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate study findings to the client.


Education Requirements:

Minimum third year in a bachelors degree program in one of the following disciplines: commerce, business administration, marketing, agbusiness, agricultural economics, economics, or business economics.


Experience & Skill Requirements:

0 - 2 years research experience.

Effective and concise written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work independently and manage time.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Problem solving skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or assignments simultaneously.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Willingness to travel on occasion.

Experience in the development of business plans/market research reports an asset.
