Description

Would you like to join a team of dedicated, hard-working folks who devote their time and energy to bringing to life one of Saskatchewans favourite summer-time events: the Ness Creek Music Festival?

We are seeking a post-secondary student to take on the position of Digital/Social Media Intern. The successful applicant will be a self-starter who is also adept at working collaboratively, and able to excel within a fast-paced Festival environment. Experience and/or education in video editing, communications and marketing would be beneficial.

This is a full-time, 16-week summer position based in Saskatoon. Start date is immediate.

As Digital/Social Media Intern, you will:
- review and edit existing archival video footage
- digitize archival photographs and posters
- utilize archival footage/photographs for website and social media
- assist videographer in compiling historical video material for documentary
- assist Marketing Manager in developing and implementing social media strategy for annual festival as well as other year-round events
- carry out customer service/administrative duties as necessary
- relocate to festival site for week of festival
- assist with setup and teardown at festival site
- other duties as assigned

Applicants MUST be:
- between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- registered as full-time post-secondary student in the previous academic year, intending to return to your studies on a full-time basis in the next academic year
- a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
