Responsibilities:

As a member of the Biomedical Imaging and Therapy (BMIT) beamline team, the Technical Assistant provides beamlines and laboratories with operational support.  Duties will include general lab upkeep, restocking consumables, development of proper documentation - including operating manuals, and support for users and visitors.

Some evening/night and weekend work is required.

Qualifications:
- 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Veterinary College or Health Sciences
- Ability to work effectively with users, faculty and staff
- A clear aptitude for science and a desire to participate in an active and exciting science program will lead to your success in this position
- Asset: mechanical aptitude and a high degree of manual dexterity
- Asset: ability to design and troubleshoot electronic systems
