Sunrise Health Region requires a General Practitioner for their Regional Locum program. Physicians must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and maintain membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association. The successful applicant who signs a one year contract may qualify for relocation incentives and signing bonuses.
Position Summary and Geographic Information:
The position works primarily in the rural area in clinics and facilities within the Sunrise Health Region, providing relief or short term coverage for existing physicians. The medical clinics are modern, well organized and fully equipped. Physicians are required to participate in the on-call rota for the local hospital.
Sunrise Health Region is located in the east central part of the province of Saskatchewan and services a trading area of approximately 70,000 people. The City of Yorkton and the Regional hospital is within an hour drive from our facilities. The scenic QuAppelle Valley, Good Spirit and Duck Mountain Provincial Parks are nearby.
