Admin. Assistant - Construction Careers Prince Albert - Competition # TI-0214
The incumbent provides broadly focused administrative functions including reception and excellent client focus. The incumbent will direct incoming inquiries in a professional manner making all employees and visitors feel welcome. This position is responsible for providing reception, clerical and administrative support for all departments while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and careful handling of highly confidential and sensitive information. The Administrative Assistant plays a key support role in ensuring seamless business operations and professional presentation of the Institute. This includes the following:
- Greet and interact with clients and visitors in a timely, professional and pleasant manner as well as determine nature of visitors' business and provide appropriate information
- Answer the phone, transfer calls, take messages as required
- Maintain reception procedure manual
- Receive, sort, and send mail, courier packages, and faxes
- Assist employees with administrative support as required
- Maintenance and tracking of staff attendance
- Strong knowledge on all office equipment
- Management of the front office which includes being responsible for opening and closing the office, coordinating meeting requests
- Data entry and client follow-up; filing

Required Qualifications and Experience: Must have completed one full year of post-secondary education to qualify and be returning to school in the fall of 2015. Must be prompt, reliable, and exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior experience working with Microsoft office suite of programs is required. Knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions is considered an asset.
