THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE BE RESPONSIBLE TO:
-Develop and implement the Environment, Health and Safety Program and related policies.
-Provide Leadership to teams across the company.
Develop, lead and implement the EH&S Strategic Operating Plan focused on the execution of critical processes including, but not limited to, incident management, EH&S training, injury prevention, and compliance of all applicable regulatory bodies.
-Trend and analyze patterns to determine focus areas and report on Company's performance.
-Travel required for communication and monitoring the EH&S progress as well as providing updates to Senior Management on incidents and investigations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum 5-7 Years progressive management experience
-Degree, Diploma in EHS an/or certification (CSP or CRSP) is an asset
-Previous mining experience is an asset
-Complex problem solving skills and strong decision making skills
-Ability to multi-task as well as work in a fast paced environment
Capability to lead change
-Ability to effectively work/communicate with all levels with in the organization and influence stakeholders
-Ability to Champion Environment, Health And Safety
-Ability to interpret and effectively communicate applicable laws, regulations and requirements
-Ability to identify critical situations and respond accordingly
-Ability to influence people who do not report directly to you
