Description

Prairie Valley School Division has an opportunity for a permanent .40 FTE Licensed Practical Nurse (Educational Assistant III) at Fort QuAppelle Elementary Community School commencing as soon as possible.  

This position will be responsible for providing optimum care for students by:
    Ensuring student care and services are provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians orders and administrative policies;
    Assure observance of required techniques in nursing care;
    Monitor students health, note changes in conditions and assess need for referral to doctors;
    Process and implement physicians orders, including medication administration and treatments;
    Other Educational Assistant duties as assigned.

You will have:
    Completed your LPN Course;
    Registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses; and
    A valid drivers license with reliable vehicle.
Prairie Valley School Division offers a competitive compensation and benefits package as well as an excellent work schedule. This position will work Monday to Thursday from 8:55 am to 11:55 am. Starting wage is $26.57 per hour.
Located in the heart of the QuAppelle Valley, Fort QuAppelle is close to a large number of recreational activities and is a popular tourist destination. In addition to the QuAppelle lake system, Echo Lake Provincial Park is located nearby, as are two golf courses and a ski hill. There is also a curling rink and an arena, along with a modern health care facility. Fort QuAppelle is also home to many historic buildings.
