The Summer Recreation Worker is to assist in the implementation and service delivery of programming and working as a team player to carry out designated tasks, under the supervision of the Adolescent Group Home Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator.
Duties and responsibilities include assisting in the development and implementation of our summer programs; assist in improving the education, health, and well being of youth involved; assist with fundraising and seeking fundraising opportunities as designated; as well as perform other office duties as directed.
This individual has to have taken post secondary education in the field of Social Sciences, Human Services, Education, or Health and Fitness and to be returning to post secondary education in the fall of 2015.
Qualifications include good organizational and time management skills; team building skills; ability to interact in a positive manner with children and youth; good oral and written communication skills; good leadership skills; ability to work shift work and weekends; computer literacy; ability to make and record purchases and account for float money; ability to work independently as well as with a team.
