Duties:
- Plan and co-ordinate summer recreation/respite program for special need children and youth
- Administer staff; organize and help supervise assistants (summer)
- Provide transportation for participants to and from program activities
- Maintain required documentation including mileage and expense records
- Work with groups and one-on-one with special needs participants
- Maintain and submit records
- Develop a schedule and calendar of events for participants
- Develop and distribute newsletters
- Help co-ordinate and assist with fundraising events.
Required Skills:
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
- Caring, enthusiastic, and able to work independently and with others
- Enjoy working with children and youth
- Have an understanding of disabilities and firm belief in inclusion
- Have a driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Possess an imagination and have good ideas for activities.
* Students must be returning to school in the Fall.
Must obtain a criminal record check.
