The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is now hiring a summer fun programmer who will develop and deliver a day camp style program for children aged 5-7 and youth 8-11 years old, with an emphasis on meeting the unique needs of Canadian Forces Families.
Qualified candidate will:
Be a grade 12 or post-secondary student continuing with full-time post secondary education in the fall.
Education, Recreation and E.C.E students welcome to apply.
Have previous experience working with children and youth in youth programs
Be able to work with minimum supervision
Have current CPR and first aid training
Have good organizational skills and communication skills
Aboriginal Students will be given priority
Additional Assets:
Leadership training
Working knowledge of French
Responsibilities
Plan summer fun programs for children ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 11 years old.
Plan and carry out daily activities including: arts, crafts, sports, recreation, day trips and theme days
Ensure the safety and security of children at all times
Work as a team member with other students
