Orbis Engineering Field Services Ltd. is seeking two suitable candidates for the position of Jr. Field Services Technician in Saskatoon, SK with 2-3 years of apprenticeship experience for a 6 month contract. This position requires experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high voltage electrical power systems.
Responsibilities:
Work safely and effectively on medium and high voltage electrical systems in a variety of environments.
Learn to work with various brands of testing equipment.
Learn electrical systems including: communications wiring, grounding, motor circuit specification, power quality, and transformer sizing.
Support team members in filling out project paperwork (i.e. daily project summaries, deficiency lists, field level risk assessments, etc.).
Perform other duties as directed by senior field personnel (facility clean-up, tool maintenance, etc.).
Follow the Orbis and client safety protocols and procedures before reaching site and during site work.
Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner.
