At Swift Current SPCA, caring for animals is not just a job, its a passion. We share a love for animals and care about the communities we serve. We are currently seeking a Shelter Assistant to join our team.
As a Shelter Assistant you would be responsible for the day-to-day care of the animals housed in the shelter as well as maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the shelter. In addition you would provide customer service to the public, including assisting with adoptions and reception duties.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with previous animal care training and/or experience. Training will be provided. You will have good customer service and interpersonal skills. You must be organized, flexible and have the ability to prioritize and work independently. You must be physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs, and available to work some weekends and evenings.
