Description

Fortis Mining and Engineering is currently seeking applicants for the following positions for various locations in Saskatchewan. These will be contract positions and involve shiftwork.
These positions will promote a safe workplace by ensuring all work under Fortis' control is performed safely by adhering to the highest of industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- work closely with carpenters and ironworkers
- assist in tying rebar and pouring concrete
- able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- accomplish a variety of tasks that help the progress of the build
- able to work in all weather conditions (extreme heat/cold/rain)
- may perform other related duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- must have experience using Hand tools and Power tools
- must be mechanically inclined
- working at Heights
- physically fit
- workers can be on their knees or bent over
- constant up and down
- workers must be hydrated
- physically demanding and repetitive
- PPE - Hard Hat/Work Boots/Safety Glasses
IDEAL CANDIDATES:
- general carpentry experience
- experience in construction
- willing to learn new skills which may lead to advancement opportunities
