Manager Required
This position is responsible for the management and operation of the restaurant, lounge and banquet facilities of the Austrian Club including marketing, staff supervision, purchasing and inventory control, cash management and reconciliation, and financial reporting to the Board of Directors.
Duties include:
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all Club employees.
Ensure all staff provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Facilitate communication between the Board of Directors and all employees of the Club.
Ensure staff properly handle all cash floats, income, cash drawers and tills.
Reconcile cash receipts and prepare daily cash reconciliation reports for each cash drawer.
Prepare cash floats as required and ensure proper change is on hand.
Deposit cash receipts.
Order, receive and control the inventory of alcohol, beverages, food, paper goods, glassware, silverware, dishware, and maintenance supplies.
Meet with sales representatives with respect to regular inventory purchases.
Promote and market the restaurant, lounge and banquet hall including but not limited to the use and maintenance of a website and e-mail address.
Ensure that the Club facility is opened and closed on timely basis.
Arrange for maintenance of the Club, ensuring it is clean and in good repair at all times.
Ensure the outside of the Club facility is properly maintained include arranging for snow removal and lawn care.
In consultation with the cook, prepare menus for the restaurant, lounge and banquet hall.
Bartend, serve, cook and clean as needed.
Arrange and promote special Club functions in the lounge and hall.
Grant and control the sale of Club memberships.
Promote the Austrian culture whenever possible.
Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings.
Maintain a close working relationship with the Board of Directors to facilitate a mutual understanding in regard to the efficient operation of the Club.
